Maura Mcqueeney, BSN, MPH, NE-BC serves as president of Baystate Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Executive for Post Acute Care at Baystate Health, Inc. Ms. McQueeney is the Baystate Health System Post Acute Executive also overseeing Infusion, Respiratory and Ambulance Services as well as collaboration with Skilled Nursing Facility quality partners. She has experience in executive leadership of Medicare certified and private duty home health services in R.I. and Conn. as well as professional practice and outcomes accountability for the acute care setting. She has been an ANCC Magnet Appraiser since 2002 and has presented on the topic of ambulatory quality measures for the outpatient setting to national audiences. The president of Baystate VNA and Hospice, vice president of Baystate Home Infusion and Respiratory Services and Baystate Health Ambulance and the Executive for Post Acute Services (to be referred to as President of BVNAH) provides overall strategic direction for all Sub-Acute Care, Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care, and Ambulance Services across the system. She is matriculated in a Doctoral Executive Nursing Program.
Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated health care system serving over 800,000 people throughout western New England. The organization has implemented a preferred post-acute provider network, which is core to its care coordination program. Baystate will share lessons learned in supporting a preferred network as part of the discharge process, measuring patient progress and outcomes in real-time and actively managing and reducing hospital readmissions and patient length of stay.
